Who Was Lotan Abir
Lotan had a presence and a simplicity which captivated just about everyone lucky enough to cross his path. He was a constant source of light. You got the feeling that he had unearthed the secrets of life and the universe. Lotan lived his life on his own terms, without fear, and with a rare level of authenticity.
Lotan was no angel, and far from perfect, yet that only added to his charm. When he smiled, you couldn’t help but smile with him. He had a love for people, a passion for life, and a genuine interested in everyone he met, whoever they were. He touched and stirred people, just by being himself. People simply felt good being around him.
Along with May Naim, his childhood friend, Lotan was brutally murdered at the Nova Music Festival on October 7th, 2023. He was just 24 years old.
People say that Lotan managed to squeeze more life into his 24 years than most of us will manage in a lifetime. His untimely demise has left a gaping hole in the lives of his family, his friends and so many more. But his light shines, where he is a constant source of inspiration.
